So we know Brian and Ross Loram are into their
racing, but what and where do they race exactly? Well, read on to find
out more....

Brian on track at the Buxton
short oval
Hot Rods. Hot rods race on short quarter mile
tarmac ovals across the UK. This is the sport Brian has competed in
since 1993 and where Ross began his racing in 2008. The cars are the
fastest on the short ovals, steel spaceframed chassis with fibreglass
panels, wide racing slicks and 2 litre engines producing over 220bhp
in a car weighing 700Kg. Brian has competed in the national series in
the past but now races more on the local scene, primarily at Mendips
Raceway. Click

Ross on track at Brands Hatch
during his licence test
Quaife Intermarque Championship. Ross moved from
the hotrod class into the Quaife Intermarque championship during 2010.
While the car used bears a very close resemblance to a hotrod used on
the shorter ovals many changes are made before it is used on the longer
multi directional circuits such as Brands Hatch and Snetterton that
the championship visits during the course of a season. Gearbox, suspension,
fuel tank and setup have all been altered on Ross' hotrod for this racing
amongst other items.
