News update - 2 Championships and BTCC News...
- 01 / 04 / 07
Hi everyone, as i'm sure you've noticed the website hasn't been updated in a little while (alright then a fairly long while) becuase my dammed evil computer has been causing problems. First of all it was off to BCS Computers who said it was probably the motherboard or processor and then asked for ridiculous sums of money to put it right. So we left there and I had a go at fixing it to no avail, and now another very clever chap has got it so hopefully it'll all be working again soon. And I can stop using this old computer which is stressing me out a huge amount as I try and post this update! ;-)

The prizes on offer at the great Team Scream TRAK Challenge held in Torquay last month
Anyway, onto the racing! Since my last update we have had the last 3 meetings of the indoor season. Now i'm struggling to remember exact results here but I know I won at least one of them which fortunatly was the event I really wanted to win this winter, the Team Scream TRAK Challenge. Mike Doody had teaken pole for the final with me in second but it was positions reversed at the finish line although Mike still got his champagne for pole and a prize out of the raffle so it wasn't all bad!

Winners from the TST Challenge (From left - 27T, 3rd Sean Guy, 2nd Mike Doody, 1st Me!, Jeremy in centre then, 19T, 1st Rob West, 2nd Chris Leighton, 3rd Paul Rose
Following this meeting up with a second place at the last meeting of the season was enough to comfortably win me back the TRAK Indoor Championship too so even though the site hasn't been updated things have been going well at the track! :-)

My shiny new Cyclone...i'm assured it is as fast as it looks ;-)
With the indoor season now over we turn our attentions to the outdoor season and that means it's BTCC time! This year we're contesting all 10 rounds starting with Stafford on April 9th. It's been a busy few months leading upto this meeting too with a brand new Moorespeed Edition HB Cyclone chassis being built up for start of the season. Yes folks, i'm finally moving away from the TC3....although long term readers will remember I said the same when i bought that Xray a few years back! ;-) It's all change on the electrics front too, a new slimline servo is in the new car along with new Team Scream motors and cells. In fact all that has survived from the TC3 is the MRT Speedo although i'm hopeful this will be replaced for round 2 with MRT's new MX Pro TSX version....it really is an expensive few months! lol
So then, that's brought you upto date with the latest happenings before we head off to Stafford, hopefully to make a strong impact on the 'A' Final! You can read about it all hear shortly after the event!
