It's all about the toasties - 10
/ 10 / 06
As the indoor season draws ever closer (22nd October) Ross has
made the startling announcement that the racing is only of secondary importance
on any given sunday to the rather splendid toasted sandwiches on offer at the
TRAK's indoor venue.
 |
Ross went on to say that he had missed them
so much he had been forced to make a complete mess of his own kitchen in
order to make some. After several less than sucessful attempts Ross was
pleased to announce that he had "gotten them pretty much spot-on although
the balance between cheese and pineapple is a tricky one" When asked
about his racing and set-ups Ross was quick to turn the subject back to
tosaties "Well obviously i'll be racing this winter but to be honest
i'm more interested in the food and having a laugh" |
Of course in between eating toasties I've built 3 TC3's in the
past few weeks (who knew I had that many parts in the spares box! lol) Two of
which have been sold on and the third has been set-up ready to contest the indoor
season. I've got to admit I don't really expect to do much this winter, (and
this is the first of many times you'll hear these excuses!) as in my absence
from racing in the past 6 or 7 months i'll no doubt have gotten a bit rusty
(well alright, 'rustier' then!!!) and some of the other guys (ha, pun!) have
been coming on in leaps and bounds nationally during the summer. Jamie, Jason,
Sean, Wayne, Doody, Pauls, Adrian and co have done well in the BTCC and will
be hard to beat. Then there's your Malc's, new Paul and a few others i've forgotten
who are always on the pace. It really will be tough to make an 'A' Final this
winter...so at this point i'd like to trot out some excuses that i'll be using
old 3800 cells from last winter and motors from the last year or two. Not that
it'll matter, my driving will be so bad for the first few meetings that you
won't notice! ;-)

The car all ready and awaiting battle!
;-)
So here's looking forward to the 11 TRAK Indoor meetings this
winter, i'm sure we'll have fun, and then it'll be time for the 2007 BTCC.....and
i'll be there this time!!!
