Running out of steam in 4th at SWS Round 8 - 25 / 01 / 05

Despite having new tyres on the car today and driving from a new driving position higher up than usual Ross was extremley happy with his performance and his cars handling. He was set for third on the grid until Russel Coatham pipped him in the last qualifier by 0.07 of a second! At the start of the final Ross pulled a great move on Russel to take third and quickly opened up a gap as he set off after Rod Ingo in second place. Until half race distance it looked as though Ross was just inching up on the back of Rods car but unfortunatly the cells screamed enough and the laptimes fell away along with the punch. From looking forward it was suddenly a case of looking back as Russel closed in, taking third on the very last lap. Rest assured the car will be getting a very thorough look over before the next meeting ;)
