New (Xmas) Features! - 06 / 12

Well hello there dear readers, it appears that this little
site is attracting more of you every month so as a result I decided some improvements
were in order! The most noticeable changes are the festive ones which i'm sure
you've noticed (if not, best get down to specsavers) There's the very cool snow
(ha, pun!) which changes direction and force every time you change page (thought
i'd mention that as I thought it was pretty smart) and the top image has been
changed, you even get a pic of me in an Xmas hat! :-)

A few weeks back I recived an e-mail asking
for some set-ups on the site. Thinking this was a great idea I added a
whole set-up section to the site last week (View it here)
In this section you'll find some of my set-ups from my FK05 and TC3 as
well as links to many useful sites featuring set-ups, gearchart calculators
etc. I think it's pretty cool, hopefully some people will find some of
it useful too :-) |
There have also been some behind the scenes changes to the
site recently (now it's using php), this won't be of any interest to you but
it took a great deal of time so i'm telling you anyway! ;-)
As well as this several other pages have
been tweaked and expanded upon. The gallery has been updated with pics
of my current shell and more info has been added to the contact page so
should anyone feel the need to stalk me all the info you need is right
there! The sponsorship page is all new (and much better) and the links
page contains new links to some great sites. |

I've got a few more ideas to implement yet too, after realising
the amount of good equipment I don't use any more expect to see a 'For Sale'
section added in the coming week, the press section is also to be developed.
At present it only contains links to race reports from this years STCC Championship
but once I order them I'm going to add images of any magazines reports I've
made it into this year, quite a star you know ;-)
So that's about it for now, if you've got any ideas on how the
site could be improved please let me know. I want it to be more interactive,
maybe some sort of weekly chat room....polls.....oh, and nobodys signed my guestbook
for months, go and sign it you miserable sods ;-)

New car and a new shell for Mike this
week. As predicted he was on form with it straight away, taking the Pro
4 to second overall despite a loose wheel in the final, almost irritatingly
impressive mate ;-) |
As you may have noticed there's no race report from the last
meeting (TRAK Round 5) This is partly because i've been very busy adding these
new features and doing some of that real life stuff that gets in the way of
our hobby and secondly because it was such a shockingly awful meeting on my
part I couldn't bring myself to write about it, and even if I did you wouldn't
want to read it ;-) The car was slow, I didn't get the set-up quite right (which
is unusual as it's been spot on all year), I didn't like the tight hairpins
in the track and I drove like a complete muppet, been a while since i've had
a meeting go so bad but these things happen to us all every now and then! You've
just got to have a think and sort it out at the next meeting, that'll be December
18th at the Acorn Centre Torquay for Round 4 of the South West Series, see you
all there, i'll be in my Xmas hat :-)
